HOMICIDE & DAKOTA WIZARDS WIN D-LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Dakota wizards and starting point guard corey “homicide” Williams claimed the 2007 d-league title after a 129:121 overtime victory over the Colorado 14ers. The championship game took place in Bismarck, n.d. on Sunday in front of a d-league postseason record crowd of 5,224 fans.
After the game was tied at 109 a piece after regulation the wizards outscored their opponents by eight in the extra session to secure their first d-league title. After finishing with a league best record of 33-17 dakota crowned it’s season with the championship.
Corey Williams was one of only four wizards to score in double-figures with 11 points while shooting 5 of 7 from the field. He also contributed 3 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 19 minutes of action.
