goose-bumps in the house! last night, 7000 frenetic bamberg fans brought the noize like anthranx & public enemy, underlining their “freak city” claim with reckless abandon. it was ten minutes before tipoff to game 2 of brose bamberg’s first playoff series vs. meg göttingen, when the the decibel level hit ear numbing heights: the warrior was back! bamberg fans gave their power forward ademola okulaja, who had been forced to sit out the season after being diagnosed with cancer, a memorable standing ovation. “damn, check out my goose-bumps, like golf balls!”, said ademola grinning. also on hand, was k1x brand director christian boszczyk, to present “the warrior” with a check worth 10260 euros! when k1x had first learned of ademola’s disease in 2008, it was a matter of utmost respect for the brand’s first ever testimonial to support him in his battle vs. cancer. the amount was raised by k1x and the sale of 513 limited “the warrior will be back” tees and donated to “kinderleben e.v.”, a clinic that provides help to children with cancer.
k1x is very proud of having supported the cause but most of all very happy to see ademola doing much better. we knew it all along: the warrior will be back!
