The ex-member of Detroit rap collective Slum Village recently toured Europe to present his latest work “elMATIC” – live with a band. Obviously, the project is his homage to one of rap’s greatest, Mr. Nasir Jones, and his hip hop milestone from 1994. And even tough Nas’ classic is untouchable, eLZhi’s reinterpretation definitely brings back that good old NYC 90s flavor…

K1X Collective: Mike Schreiber

In this new, daily section we’re going to spotlight our K1X Collective artists/brands individually. First off: Mike Schreiber, a self-taught photographer and the author of “True Hip-Hop”.

Mike Schreiber’s pictures feature the biggest and brightest stars of hip-hop and have earned him features in magazines like Rolling Stone, VIBE, XXL and Spin. His book “True Hip-Hop” comprises both published and unpublished images of the personalities that have made hip-hop what it is today. An exclusive book-signing with Mike will take place this Friday, September 23rd between 6-9 P.M., at our K1X NYC store.
